This Privacy Statement outlines the personal information collected from you when you complete the contact form on the page, as well as how this information will be processed and used.

The data you provide will be processed by the NMCB team under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). As such, you have the following rights regarding the data you provide:

– Right of access – You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

– Right of correction – You have the right to correct personal data we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete.

– Right to removal – You have the right to ask NMCB to remove or have removed personal data from our records.

– Right to portability – You have the right to have the personal data we hold about you transferred to another organisation.

– Right to object – You have the right to object to certain types of processing, such as direct marketing, as well as processing we carry out based on our legitimate interests.

  1. What (types of) personal data are collected?

The information collected through the contact form on the Get Involved page includes both personal and non-personal data, including e-mail addresses and postal codes.

By completing and submitting the contact form, you indicate your interest in participating in future NMCB research and agree to be contacted by the NMCB team via email about recruitment opportunities.

Your e-mail address and postcode are safely stored in a secure database for the sole purpose of contacting you about recruitment opportunities within your region. If at any time you wish to have your details removed from our database, you can do so by sending an email to: nmcb@amsterdamumc.nl.

  1. What is the legal basis for the processing?

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as GDPR).

Those affected are invited to submit their personal information through an online form. The legal basis for this processing operation is consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by sending an e-mail to the following address: nmcb@amsterdamumc.nl.

The data controller for this processing operation is Amsterdam UMC.

  1. Who are the recipients of the personal data?

Your e-mail and postcode will be stored in a secure database accessible only to NMCB’s project managers (Lea van Iersel and Kate Mudie) and the project coordinator (Jos Bosch).

  1. How long will personal data be kept?

Your data will only be used to contact you about research recruitment opportunities for the duration of NMCB, and it will be kept until the project ends in 2031. If at any time you wish to have your details removed from our database, you can do so by sending an email to: nmcb@amsterdamumc.nl.

Information is stored on a password-protected server. Only authorised persons (see section 5) can access the information.
