Via this website, you can register for research on ME/CFS and other post-acute infection syndromes (PAIS). If you live in one of our regions, you will receive a questionnaire about your health and symptoms within a few months.
Based on your answers, we will assess whether participation currently meets the study’s eligibility criteria. These criteria are necessary to ensure that the research is conducted carefully and consistently.
If participation is possible, we will contact you. You always decide for yourself whether you still wish to take part.
It is also possible that your information does not currently match the criteria of the ongoing study. If so, we will inform you. This does not diminish the value of your registration, and you may still be invited at a later time.

- residents of the Netherlands who are fluent in Dutch
- between 18-65 years old
- not pregnant or breastfeeding in the past 12 months
- diagnosed with ME/CFS, Long COVID, Q-fever, Lyme disease, or Multiple sclerosis
- no other serious medical conditions
- No medication that suppresses your immune response
- healthy people without serious medical conditions as a control group

Currently, we only recruit participants who live within 50 km of the Amsterdam UMC and are able to visit in person. Other areas of the Netherlands and homebound participants will follow at a later date.
